Possible carbeurator problem?

  1. G'day group,

    I've a 1977 CB750A that's in been running great (as well as
being in great condition for a nearly 30 year old bike) for nearly
    two years.

However, a couple of days ago, a problem cropped up.

When I start the bike and begin to move, she struggles for power
until I get the speed up to about 30 mph -- THEN she runs okay
(except for an occasionally feeling of deceleration).

The problem only happens when I'm use starting to move. I mean, I
really have to open the throttle to get going, then there's a SUDDEN
acceleration -- as if the bike is "catching up" with itself.

I tried everything I can think of to resolve the problem, but to no
avail. I suspect it may be a carbeurator issue.

    What do you guys/gals think?

  2. Sounds like some carb jets blocked to me. Or possibly throttle cable
    stcky or summat.
You really need a manual for that bike.
