Portsmouth fom Aylesbury

    How the hell do I get to Portsmouth from Aylesbury? It looks like there
    are a zillion possibilities, but I haven't a clue what the roads are
    like. Oxford/A34 perhaps?

    Opinions?

    I'd normally reccomend a road.
    They tend to be strips of black tarmac with cars on them.
    As good as any; mind you it's been a while for me, so I can't tell you
    about the current condition of that route.
    That Ian Duncan-Smith's a ****, inne?

    I'll be leaving from Harrow which ain't a million miles away and I'm
    probably going A40/M25/A3. Just get the A413 to the A40 and
    do the same?

    Although I might go A40/M25/M3/A331/A325/A3 if I decide the
    M25 is getting too busy.

    Hmm, what's going on in Portsmouth then? I live near there, and think I
    saw several UKRMers mentioning they were heading there this evening...?

    FWIW when I go from Aylesbury to get the ferry from Portsmouth to the Pile
    of Shite I go via Amersham/M40M25/A3. I've tried the A34 'over the top' via
    Bicester and via Thame 'under Oxford' round the ring road and still prefer
    the M25/A3 route.
