  1. It's A Quiet Night In - the utterly *magnificent* two-hander.

Is this likely to wind up on the iPlayer? In fact, is there any way to
predict what *will* turn up on the iplayer after the fact? I suspect I
won't get to see this tonight.

We've got this thing called a 'video recorder'. It's dead good.

    How quaint.

You still use tapes to record TV programmes?

No, I was using the term generically. We *do* have a VTR but obviously
the PVR does all the recording.

We (including my daughter) still refer to the act of recording as
videoing and setting the recorder as setting the video.

I do have a VHS but it lives in the loft and comes down for transfers
    from tape to disc.

Ours actually lives under the PVR, because I still have a few tapes
that I haven't got round to upgrading yet. haven't watched them for
    over a year, mind.

I'm sure the V in PVR stands for something, but I can't quite remember
    what.
