We'll be off for a while - offline, that is. The cable guys come to
cut us off later today and Sky reckon a 'couple of weeks' to sort out
the new service in the new place.

See you on the road, Bronze.

Why do people always seem to misquote that?

For the same reason that people think 'alright' is acceptable, or who
say, 'I would of thought...', or who think 'to all intense and purposes'
    is a real expression...

The finding of an appropriate and convenient date for folk is the tricky

Crikey. It took BT two hours to connect the phone line at my new place
and I had 24 meg broadband (courtesy of Be/O2) up and running within
    five days.

    Sky must be rubbish!
