I don't think theres any doubt that Setes poor start and first few laps meant he had to use up more of his tire to get to the front group, but Rossis last lap performance clearly exceeded anything Sete managed during the race. At then end of the second last lap they would have travelled the same distance on their tyres. But Rossi started with a hard rear tyre, Gibernau with a medium. Theo
