Italian team Lucio Cecchinello scored a Honda leasing bike and Casey Stoner
along with it. It remains to be seen whether he can hang on to the other one
and Checa - supposedly Camel remains local to Biaggi... which raises the
question when Camel and Biaggi established those close ties. I can just
remember the Biaggi-Camel thing when Max rode for Pons. Max -unlike Sete-
didn't think twice about switching sponsors to score the number 1 Repsol HRC
    bike...

Not sure what you mean. They an not dating. It's a business relationship,
and Sito has to pay up, no matter what.
I didn't say that, my only question is why Camel would feel so loyal.

Mark - as all too often, this just makes sense in your mind. Yes, I remember
that conversation. However, the nature of the Honda-Pons relationship is now
just the same as it's always been - he's the manager of a long running lease
team. And your premise continues to be based on pure speculation on your
    side.
Perhaps you need to engage your brain if that's what clarity means to you.
Being business minded is by no means being disloyal. That is a downright
stupid thing to say. The fact someone changes sponsors does not mean one is
disloyal to anyone - contracts run out and need to be renewed on both sides
etc. It's business, and just because an agreement ends does not mean anyone
is being disloyal. Get a grip.

I asked that question and am done with it.

I would not have asked that question if Biaggi had an evident long time
history of accosciation with Camel. However, I can remember him riding under
Marlboro colors, and then some, until he finally wore yellow under Pons. And
then he went over to Repsol (unlike Gibernau, who stuck it out with
Movistar, and for the record is now claiming every way that his personal
commitment to his sponsors badly hurt his career). Without the changes the
question about Camel's fierce loyalty would not arise.

To claim I ever called Biaggi a treacherous turncoat is imbecile crap, so
    let it be.

  5. Just to add some nice twists, don't forget that Biaggi also rode for
    Chesterfield.

And to bring it all full circle, from
    http://www.wclynx.com/burntofferings/tins_chesterfield.html :

"[Liggett& Myers] reblended and repackaged Chesterfield to compete with the
successful 1913 introduction of Camel Cigarettes. Nowadays, Chesterfield is
    manufactured by Phillip Morris."

    It's the Biaggi Triangle.

I have NOT. One last time for the cheap rows with the impaired people
sitting there. You'll look in vain for any quote from me stating that or
"suggesting" that. You'll just find tedious evidence with you trying to tell
me what I said. I hereby ask anyone to do a dejanews search on "Biaggi
unloyal sponsor pablo". It'll come up empty. Just like Mark's cranial
    cavity.

However, Mark, proceed to drool all over the newsgroup. We've become used to
your going on about the utterly irrelevant no one cares about. You're
quickly becoming the village idiot - momentary entertainment value, but
tolerated with pity rather than respect.

When someone tells you they didn't mean something, you should either let it
be, or come across like a prick. The latter has little novelty.
