You're travelling in the right lane of a two lane highway.Steady stream of
traffic on your left. Naturally, if your lane moves freely, vehicles on
your left would want to jump into yours. (Normal lane jumping attrition
    since Adam created people lanes)

    1) Do you travel on the left wheel track in your lane so that any vehicle
    driver
thinking of changes lanes SHOULD see you in their right mirror and hopefully
think otherwise. ( note: some drivers *adjust* outside vehicle mirrors so
far into the car body, that unless you're close to scraping their door
handles chances of being seen are close to none.)

    OR

    2) Do you ride in the middle-to-right hand track, at the risk of not being
seen in their poorly adjusted mirror path, so if a vehicle cuts into your
lane you would have the nessecary buffer space to counter the move.

6 years ago I was unfortunate ( read inexperienced ) to have been the victim
of a hasty lane changer.Had my leg broken in three places for being there.
These days being more older and relaxed, my reflexes have improved
(yes..true!) and can assertivley countersteer around these things.

    also...

The magority of new cars have parabolic left mirrors which helps in viewing
more of the traffic on the left, at the expense of misjudgeing the distance
    of objects.Reasonable trade-off, perhaps.

But,I;ve always thought they may benefit from having parabolic mirrors on
the right aswell. ( for the drivers that either dont know how to adjust
their outside mirrors or love viewing the passengers side door handle )

    Opinions?

    My simplistic 2 rule approach:

1 - Always assume that the tintop is completely fucking blind and never
    checks his/her mirrors.

2 - Never let a car drive beside you. Get ahead of it if possible, else fall
back behind it until there is enough room to roll on to get ahead of it.

Cars today are modern marvels of engineering, safety and intelligent design.
The drivers, however, are still to a frightening large degree, fuckwits.
