I drove to Folkestone today for a meeting, had a sandwich bought at a
petrol station with my customer and got a big order. We drank a cup of
vending machine coffee each and then I left to go and see another
customer who also gave me a big order.

You can keep yer fancy foreign trips, this is real living.

    I rock.

    "A big order"?

Is that another one of them there euphemisms? I don't want to know about
    your travelling Gigolo lifestyle.

I'm going to Hastings _and_ Birkenhead next month, so there!

I'm probably off to Darlington in December and, if I play my cards right, I
might get a day-trip to Belfast.

    I sway!

    Pah! You call that living.

Tomorrow, I have a trip to the stunning scenery of Ebbw Vale followed by
    an afternoon in Merthyr.

    Next week it's Aberdare.

Living the high life here, I tell you.

Will do, I'm likely to be there for two days at a time every other week
    until mid-November.

  17. AndrewR yik-yakked:
I have a day trip to Bournemouth, from sunny Glasgow, next week.

Used to be that Ryanair flew in first thing, back late that night but
now I have to go to Southampton on BMI or somesuch and drive.

The excitement. Southampton and Bournemouth, in the one day. I have
managed to wangle out of a proposed trip to Weymouth too.

If you make it for Tuesday night you can get to the "bike night" at
    Poole quay too.
It's a bit like seeing all the expensive superyachts at Monte Carlo[1],
    but for bikers.

    [1] If that's still 'in'. I've never jet-setted so I wouldn't know.
