Jeeeezus! I've been back in the Old Country for 3 weeks now, and I've had back-to-back bugs! I know there will be some who say it's my own silly fault for coming to Pommieland in the dead of winter (ok, will accept responsibility for the poor choice of time) - but really - two severely nasty colds, one after the other? That's just bloody mean! (especially as I have barely had a sniffle to speak of in absolutely AGES at home!)

AND - I'm due to travel home in 4 days. Pray, one and all, that the germs have died by then, or I'll be bringing the bloody things home with me. Aaaaaaargh! *cough hack sniffle*

    beasties. Och aye...

(You do know that it is advised that one does not fly if one's
sinuses have not clearrred up, don't you, wee bonnie lass...)

Several belts of fess or a similar salt solution will ease the ear and
nasal pain , visit a chemist for this clearing solution

Thanks guys. Will keep that in mind, and drug up accordingly. The sore throat is more of an issue than anything else. Perhaps gargling with that wee dram that McGerry suggested would help...?

As I said a couple of saline snorts just before embarking and if it
continues to ache then some numbing agent , for a gargle anything scotch
    and cheapish
