Err, When I read her account I did not have the impression that
she seemed to be overly pushy. Or do you think it's not fitting
for a woman to be assertive about the way she's treated by the
officials? Have you ever been at the recieving end of unfriendly
American immigration official[1]? I have, if not nearly to that
extent this woman experienced, and it left me slightly more than
annoyed.


[1] This does not mean there can't be other unfriendly immigration
officials, but somehow the American ones seem to have a particular
air about themselves.

 

Hmm.. I think you will find that for a great deal of that we have
been ruled by descendants of Frenchified Vikings.. Or Germans.
