    Ta. Just wasn't quite sure.
Though I nearly had to google for Xtian too,
    before the penny dropped.

I've no idea about funding, but you could probably get a few test
    subjects to volunteer.

I remember one girlfriend, on the first date, telling me she never put out
on the first date. I kept a straight face, but I was thinking "YES!"

....correctly so, as it turned out: second date was spent mostly shagging her
    senseless.

It already does. There's no shortage of parties with a regional but not
    national presence.

Sundry Scottish and Welsh nationalists. All the parties of Northern
Ireland, (when they came to Westminster). Various one-off local interest
candidates - standing to protect a local hospital, say.

There are also supposedly national parties which are only really supported
in a few limited areas. The BNP springs to mind. I've never seen them on
a parliametary ballot in any constituency I've voted in but they have a
certain amount of support in some parts of England.

In favour over, for example, John Prescott or Michael Howard Yes.

If the last 10 years of my life have taught me anything it's that I
share more with many of the people across Europe that I routinely work
with than the "Great British Electorate".

Why is it so hard for you to comprehend that where people are born is
    just an accident of birth?

He read it in a paper. Or maybe heard it on the radio.

I think his line is if we disbelieve him we have to prove he's wrong
since he's under no obligation to back up his points with facts (I
paraphrase his post here, but that's the gist of it)

In the inter-war years Farming was in a worse state than it is now.
Apart from that, I'm not so sure. I don't deny your point about the
    price of food though.

I would, however not support the line that the EU has damaged farming in
the UK greatly. Two things- the power of the supermarket and Margaret
Thatcher are probably responsible for farming's decline (the latter less
    so).
