Why not? When I was a child, we had, at various times, a donkey, a
goat, several chickens, bantams, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs etc.

As a pet, of course. *Everyone* should own a donkey - they're dead
cool. When she was little, she used to come in the house & lay on the
sofa. She wasn't allowed in the dining room though - that was reserved
    for the horse.

I have an ex-military defender 110 with seriously heavy-duty suspension,
and about once a month, my kids come home from school and advise me that
they have a full load of passengers booked wishing to 'do the humps'.
One evening the following week, 8 at a time, they get strapped in (lap
belts), get a brief 'serious' safety lecture (to heighten the tension),
then they are subjected to the half-mile of traffic-calming measures
outside their school, at exactly 20mph.
Some have even said it's better than Alton Towers.

Yebbut - it's true! We really did convert the dining room into a stable
when the horse broke its leg.

Just compare the Elan Plus 2, with its droopy front and saggy arse,
to a real Elan, preferably with Emma Peel in it....
