I've said it before but what is the point of buying a Grand Cherokee
5.7 Litre Hemi and then slowing down to 2 mile an hour an every time
    there's a road hump?

    What a stupid question. Really.
It is because they are irremediable conceited brainless and incompetent

  3. Any faster and they set the jewellery swinging uncontrollably and little
Tarquin in the back can't concentrate on his share prices on the laptop.

Thats just like saying 'pointless goldwing' or other big bikes. Read up
on 4x4's before you berate them, although I do see your point regarding
pointless ones. I use mine for what it was made for.

...or slowly going round large puddle in the road!

I am sooo tempted to buy a **** off great 4x4 simply as a protest
against the ridiculous number of speed control lumps and bumps being
put all over the place on roads where the shit parking ensured that no
one could negotiate the street at more than 10mph stop start in the
    first place.

    And another thing

I took my daughter to a Laser Quest party this afternoon. A half hour
drive through the twisties of west Essex. It would've been half an
hour if it wasn't for the number of bimbling cunts doing 20mph through
the villages and 40mph along the NSL sections. I told Emily that from
now on she goes on the bike or she doesn't go at all.

Perhaps you've missed the whole point. It's called
"conspicuous consumption", a mark of high social status.

In Japan, the lowly working class uses ceramic tiles
on their roofs, which last 100 years.

The upper class uses wooden shingles, which last 10 years.

The Emperor's roof, however is made of cedar *bark*.
He's lucky if it lasts 2 years, but no one else
is allowed to go around stripping cedar bark off trees.

I have had loads of the buggers, they are fun beyond fun. No-one makes
anything like it, even Land Rover.

I had a S3 & the light kept going off whilst driving, you had to belt
the dash & they would come back on.....

    In
    Not much.

Although if its live axle like my ol' Rangie then going over 'em at speed
isn't exactly comfy. I don't slow down to 2 mph though, might slow down to
20 for the extra big speedbumps just so I've got an excuse to give it some
    beans to the next one..

Who needs aircon when you can wave through the gap twixt side window and
windscreen .. when the window is shut .. ;)

... Or the fun that ensues upon turning up to a petrol station being overrun
by 'environmentalists' who stop you for using a 4x4 in an urban environment
... so you get out and throw [1] some of your haybales at them .. ;) They
were videoing the 'action' but I haven't seen it on t'web anywhere yet.

[1] Admittedly small horse feed-net sized bundles, rather than full-size
    bales.

Have you ever tried having a road hump at speeds much above that? Well you
    should, coz then you'd know.

People do tend to have this idea that 4x4s should be able to take
speed bumps at sixty. TBH I used to, until I owned one. Err, a 4x4
that is, not a speed bump.

Well, not sixty maybe, but no need to slow to 2 .. though I guess that's
possibly an exagerration. I barely slow at all in 30 limits for them ..
unless they're the full road width kind, and then only slow to about 20 ish.

  20. Do you think that 4x4's are supposed to hit solid objects at high
    speeds?
