Halfords don't appear to stock it any more.

The local auto factors tried to sell me something that looked
    suspiciously like camping gas.

The not-so-local auto factors isn't open at a convenient time for me.

All the online places that stock it seem to want to charge me more for
postage than for the PlusGas itself.

    Any suggestions?

Probably because, being a pressurised container, they can't just bung
    it in an envelope? ;o)
How about an engineering place locally? I know there are places that
stock it here, but then you have to factor in the (extra) postal cost
given that it is a pressurised container.

I'll get you a tin tomorrow and stick it in the post if you mail me
your address Eddie. The variety in a tin like 3-in-1 oil, right?
    Don't look pressurised to me.

Actually, I've always used the aerosol stuff in the past - didn't
realise until I started looking for it online that it was available in
    any other form.

I don't think the excessive shipping charge has anything to do with
whether it's a pressurised container or not, as it's exactly the same
for the aerosol and non-aerosol types.

I think I've managed to acquire a couple of free days at the end of this
week, which will give me a chance to go to somewhere decent to have a
    look for it.

Pip: If I still can't find any, I'll take you up on your offer, ta.

Got something in your eye? ;o)
I didn't know they did un-pressurised containers, I've only got the
    aerosol version here.

both die from hypothermia or something?

  16. I have a 50% (based on a sample size of 4) success rate with, removing
battery stripping sown as far as possible and leaving the wet bit in
an airing cupboard for a day or so. These hadn't been immersed, just
left in a pocket whilst it rained all day.

I had to do a double think to recall a mate's number on Sunday since
if it's not in the mobile a number doesn't exist. Fortunately I have
my mobile backed up to the work PC.
