    I honestly can't figure out whether it's real or a spoof. I have a
    horrifying feeling it's real.

The big clue that it's a spoof is that the pre-order link doesn't work!

"The Anglican Communion considers itself to be ... both Catholic and
    Reformed" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglican_Communion)

But I rather suspect neither, although the "Mass" bit is suggestive.

I hope it's real. Reductio ad absurdam is pointless (arguably,
    impossible) with religion.

Given the incense, I'd say high Anglican maybe, but probably Catholic.

    Personally I reckon it's a spoof anyway.

Its a spoof - viral advertising for some as-yet-undisclosed product/service
or some other kind of publicity-seeking.
    http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/96208-Mass-We-Pray-A-Holy-Hoax-or-Just-a-Really-Bad-Game
" Game Culture did some digging and found that while the developer credited
with the game, Prayer Works Interactive, claims to have been founded in
Boston in 2007, there's no such company listed in the Boston business
directory, nor does Boston directory assistance have a number listed for it.
The company doesn't seem to have a website, either; the game's site,
meanwhile, is hosted by MediaTemple but the actual owner is hidden."

Everyone looks like Lego figures. The guys all look alike and dress
    the same. Ditto the girls.

There are brass incense burners hanging on chains. Roman Catholic?
    High Church Anglican? Episcopalian? Lutheran?

It says the game company was founded in Boston, which has
a substantial population of RC Irish descent. There's no Confession
booth though, unless I missed it somewhere.

Well this could be your chance to go to Virtual Confession, TOG!
I wonder what you'd 'fess up to. The imagination runs riot...

I've just been back to this site, to send it to someone, and the
pre-order link does work now... Just not quite as I expected!
