Please help: Taking apart fairing

    Pinch the protruding conical bit, either by hand from both sides, or, as
    is more likely, if there isn't enough room to get fingers in there, use
    a flatblade screwdriver to do it one side at a time, then wiggle the
    panels apart.

    Alternately, are you sure they don't just pull apart?

    thats just a rubber grommet and the panel has the spigot that just fits
    through the
    centre of the grommet ,

    just pull on the panel and it will pop back out of the grommet

    be gentle but firm they are just a press fit

    if you have trouble a bit of wd40 as a bit of lubricant will help
