Well thanks as usual to Platy,Sarah and Laura for a top BBQ,party,
    breakfast etc.

Thanks to Matt G for being the taxi service, staying sober and then
driving home at 5am when we all went to bed- hope you got home OK.

Thanks Andy and Adie for bringing Jennifer to entertain us all night,
hope you didn't manage to 'lose' her off the back of the bike on the
    way home.

Thanks to Marina, Owen and Laura for your special brand of
    'entertainment'.

Finally thanks to Platy's neighbours for kindly providing a free
firework display and also not complaining too loudly.

    Lovely to see everyone.

    NP. Good to see everyone.
Madness. ****, it must have been geting light by then.
Jennifer's okay. Anyone who can shriek "ANDREW CLIVE BONWICK!" through the
kitchen door, with a good half-inch of clear air under her boot-soles, is
all right by me. There's plenty of UKRMers that would ahve thrown a
complete eppy if faced by the amount of piss-taking Jennifer faced last
    night.
Fair play, they held off until 2AM this year before losing the rag...

It was only tonight (whilst delivering a Eatonesque drill to chez Champ)
that I discovered that I'd missed this event. I'm gutted
    (metaphorically, not literally, obviously).

Given the choice to choose between a night with the lovelies at
Cheltenham college and the Plateque I'd have been down Brizzle way, no
    question.

Indeed. It's only once a year ffs.
For the third year in a row, Dodger was accomodated in the Snoring Annexe.
    Please try to keep up.

    Your neighbours are clearly lightweights...

At 4AM there were strange elephantine sounds eminating from your
    garage... something dodgey?

Very odd. I drilled them with a (nominal) 25mm drill, which would
normally cut oversize if anything. I have to admit it never even
occurred to me to check them. Ah well, live and learn.
I *thought* my ears were burning. I suppose I need to get ISO9000 or
something. I'll employ a full-time QA manager in the morning. I'll need
to get all my measuring gear calibrated as well.

Of course, this may increase costs to the end user slightly, but I'm
    sure you'll agree it's worth it. ;^)

She only really got tore into her old dad[1], and was perfectly civil[2] to
    everyone else.

[1]who was winding her up something rotten
[2]for teenage values of "civil", obviously

  10. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
Some folk are never happy. Ffs, you got 99% of the hole for free.

We had to do the same with some at Pembrey, so I guess the nominal
25mm drill is not very nominal.
Now now, let's not be too hasty, eh :)

It's not the only reason. Adie and Andy were winding her up, and I
joined in, but pushed it just a little too far.

    heartily agreed.
Bit daft not to have stayed for breakfast given how late/early I left
but I needed to get back to bed.

Decided in the course of the evening that Platy has the Radio 4 of
Irish accents. Petrolcan is more Chris Moyles. I'm not sure Zymurgy's
friend will ever forgive him for the exposure to UKRM. Though
thankfully it wasn't exposure of UKRM as Bonwick didn't get naked.

Bonwick in outraged father mode was amusing, I like Jennifer, she's
feisty. Adie let me soil her bike - shiny, pretty, black, I'm unlikely
to ever be confident enough about the size and weight to have one of
    my own though.

Owen is exactly as I imagined him (though now I have added images of
pre appendix shaving that I didn't need) and Marina is the Jilly
    Goulden of roll up reviewers.

I'm glad nobody interfered with Mr Dodger for if they have I wouldn't
have been able to listen to him story telling later - lesson learned -
revenge is a dish best served cold especially when you've grown in the
    intervening years.

Thanks to whoever brought the licquorice allsorts. Elly and I rummaged
through until we found all the pink and blue knobbly ones. I'm off in
search of yellow ones later in the week, just to prove to myself I
wasn't hallucinating and they do exist.

In fact out of the evening a number of things to do appeared -

Wizard, Dnc, Jackie and SP had only good things to say about the Dave
Corden weekend so getting one sorted is on the list of bike related
    jobs now.

Prog rock plans were laid with Statto and will be incubated and
    hatched in the future.

I need to sort these downpipes out...

You can buy bags of the bobbly allsorts from Julian Graves that
    include yellow ones.
