Fortunately we'll be sitting on a form of transport which could be
utilised to take us to Poitiers.

    It's a crazy idea I know.

We could always go on a night boat Portsmouth -> Le Havre.

    true.

My other issue that is that if everything goes to plan, by mid-July I
won't have any suitable touring bikes in my garage.

The ZX7 would be ok for that? Or borrow one, Nigel Eaton appears to have
    a surfeit of gaudy trash.

    I may have something suitable.

Looks like I'll be setting off at Sparrersfart on Saturday. If I can
get away on Friday at all, it won't be till gone six, which seems
    pointless.
I was in the same boat with the CBX last year, but I needn't have
worried, as it didn't have "Morini" written on the tank.

"suitable touring"? What an odd idea.

"if everything goes to plan", my garage will only have one bike in it
by mid July, and that one bike will not be one of the four currently
    in there.
    oh god.

The Mouton Blanc is the one I booked a couple of years ago - decent
food and a selection of bars within staggering distance.

It looks lovely, but it's actually, genuinely within strolling distance of
Chimay, and probably doesn't have an all-night bar. The Mouton Blanc in
Cambrai, where we stayed in '04, was fine, good food, close to bars etc.

  20. I think sweller has already lined him up for the MZ with the novel front
wheel angle. Either that or snorky.
