I shall bring a spare large inflatable double mattress which anyone is
welcome to make use of. I'm wimping out and driving though as sciatica is
nipping away.

 

If it stays sunny then girl child and I are going to arrive in the
ridiculous pink thing. If it gets there.

So how much should I worry when an automatic transmission seems to
'slip' before enagaging?

You going down the M5? No idea what time I'm leaving yet as the kids
are still on their way back from the holiday with their dad. If you
see a strange pink beast at the side of the road, feel free to point
and laugh.

 

I'm fine, thank you. By not exerting myself much, not being afraid to
actually go to a well-stocked supermarket to buy water, and liberal
use of wet wipes I'm doing ok - it'll be tomorrow after I've been out
horse riding for a few hours that my colleagues will be wishing I
could shower...

Your box may just need a good lubing (fnar), level?.
I've drained the auto fluid and filled with fresh on a couple of slightly
dodgy slushboxes to good effect. Some modern ones are sealed, some require
servicing.

 

The offer still stands: use of shower, bath, whatever. Lashings of hot
water etc.
