  3. First ten minutes were awful, but the interview with Dr Chewy Wotsit was
interesting enough. Didn't tell any more than the other links to the
    engine itself.

  4. I don't know if you are to be commended for your staying power or pitied
for lack of a working reflux action. GG has the right of it.

  5. Nah, ffs. I F-F'd through most of the beginning, paying some slight
    attention to Alan Bean's artwork.

While I share your views as far as the overall style of presentation,
particularly the cheesiness of it all, I can't say I find the
    individual presenters themselves particularly vomit-inducing.

I looked past the presentation and TBF clicked through the vid until it got
    to propulsion.
I wonder if linac makers have considered this science. It isn't that far
from the way a linac produces a beam to strike the tungsten target (with an
electron gun rather than fuel obviously).

It should have a significant impact on any future Mars mission if they can
construct, and get into orbit, a suitable nuclear power plant or RTG. Must
be a problem though, the largest RTG I know of was on Cassini and it's only
800 We. So it would be something like a Hyperion nuclear power module but
AFAIK that still requires a steam based generator. Paging Mick W!

To each his own, but I'd be hard pressed to climb over Ena Sharples to reach
that minging bint and as for Mr I-wish-I-was-a-bint-too", well.... no more
    to say about "him"
