But mustering on bikes is fun, not hard. It's the only time I've ever
been able to ride to work, get on someone elses bike and be paid to ride
it, then ride home again. Bliss (except for the abysmal pay).

  7. Lucky Cahn.

Did you do it for days on end, in the heat (from the engine and sun), get
sunburnt, dehydrated, cuts, stray wire in the chain etc kicking cattle. Or
the cold of winter, rain, boggy tracks, clogged air filters, motors, chains,
    kicking cattle dodgy electrics......

Though the CR500 was great fun, there was rarely a chance to stretch its
legs unless you wanted to scare the stock. It didn't like the slow pace and
    had to be "retired".

When it comes up again, I'll pass it your way!

Ok, you got me there (though I'd rather be mustering Zebras than doing

Well, it were only a small farm, see, so I dont know about days on end,
but I do remember doing it quite a bit, with both sheep and cattle (just
when you think sheep are the dumbest animals on earth, you do a days
cattle work...) As far as the cold of winter goes, the only problem I
had there was not being able to feel my feet when I arrived. There
wasnt much in the way of heat from the motor, it was a water cooled Suzi
TS250X and geared down to buggery, though it did run hot at times. Now
the heat from the motor on the old grey Fergy on the other hand...
You're on, I'll even come collect the bugger (I've driven further for
worse) I've been lusting after a CR500 for many years now.

Try getting people to follow you without thinking. Only two people
have managed to get people to follow them home. Jesus Christ and
Hitler. It turned out badly for both.

Ahh, but you see they weren't using the right technique.

bet if say a 30yo Mae West turned up topless and said "follow me home
boys", that she'd get more than two people....
