Pirelli tire testing?

    I was at Laguna Seca today (Sunday, 23 May) for amateur sports car
    races, and as I was leaving, a truck emblazoned with "Pirelli
    Competizione" was just arriving. It had nothing to do with the SCCA
    event, so I'm wondering if they're there to test tires for World
    Superbike. Is that likely? If so, do the racing teams test for them,
    or does Pirelli have their own testing team?
