Zen are my other choice, but I don't like the fact they only give one
    Pop3 mailbox on an account.

  5. We get 10Gb a month free with the new news server. The other two are working
perfectly well so I'm not quite sure what the new one's for unless they plan
to stop the old binaries server at some point.

  6. ....And each additional 5Gb, if required, costs £2 inc VAT.

  9. Fair enough - I don't use their mail system as I've got my own.

  10. Is that on one of their standard residential ADSL accounts or a
    business (and more expensive) account?

  11. Not that many it has to be said - Demon do (on most of their ADSL
offerings). Nildram charge 3.50 quid a month (which I think is a bit
    steep).

As I run my own servers I particularly want static IP - atlthough I
could bugger about with one of those 'no-ip' things I don't really want
    to.
I'm in the same boat. I'd like 2Mb - but I doubt that there would be
much (if any) noticable difference. More than 256k upload would be
    bloody nice though.

  12. I've still got 2 bottles of Kir here. I reckon that'd be enough to cause
    temporary short sightedness.

Failing that, a miniature of decent brandy in a bottle of Tesco's table
    plonk.

I really don't know what the fascination for wine is. Does it really
turn women into cheap sluts or is it the romance of the sophistication
    and flavour[1] they like?

    That's why I'm leaving Pipex. I want to pay ukp15 for 512k, not ukp24
    for 1M.

I see your point but I suspect you will be in a minority. If Pipex had
continued their 512k service, albiet at half the old price, then not
many people would have upgraded to the 1M service (at the old 512k
pprice) and they would lose a lot of revenue.

I think most people will accept the free 1M upgrade and be happy to
carry on paying the same price.
