There are, but they want Top Parisian prices.

In all of my (5) trips to Eire I have yet to get a good meal at a
reasonable price. General roadside / pub food is vile. Unless you want
a ham and cheese toastie, and thats made with plastic ham and orange
cheese.

I just never seem to pick the right one.
Went for an italian meal in Cashel last month (ther being 3 Italian
restaurants in town and little else). The boy had a pizza, (now
there's a surprise) and I had penne with peas in garlic oil.
The penne and the garlic oil were ok, but the peas were tinned
processed peas. I hate tinned processd peas. They cannot be considered
as peas. All this, with 1 portion of garlic bread and a mixed salad
(with some wierd german style creamy dressing), 2 small bottles of
fizzy water and 2 cokes.....48 Euros!
