Pink Ribbon 2008, anyone?

Been a damned long time since I was here last, 'n' on checking can't see any
mention of the Pink Ribbon ride since the beginning of January.

Anyone here (other than me) participating this year? Hornsby to Pitt Town
'n' back?

Just in case anyone is wondering there is no Pink Ribbon Ride in
Melbourne this year. The people who had been organising it for the past
5 years or so no longer wished to continue with the job and when
replacements were found they did not believe they had the time and means
available at short notice to organise the ride in time to the standard
that had been achieved in the past. I believe it will be back in 2009.
If you want to make a donation anyway.. good luck. There is no link
on the official PRR website to any charitable organisation that might
have wanted your money.

there with a group from work.

MEET: Readings Cinema carpark, Chirnside Park Shopping Centre, Maroondah Hwy

TIME: 9.30 for 10.00am departure
ROUTE: Maroondah Hwy to Melba Hwy, to Yea, coffee stop, back through
Toolangi and Chum Creek to Maroondah Reservoir Park for barbeque lunch.

COST: $10 donation. Surplus after park hire costs covered to Cancer Council
Vic to be directed specifically to breast cancer research.

BYO: food & liquid refreshment. Free electric barbeques at park.
