Errm ginge. I posted a link to those a while ago, though perhaps not
    that exact URL TBF.

All the action takes place within a few kilometres of 'the chateau'. If
I could lay on a guide you could *try* to get the Tiger up 'Dead Crow'
    hill.

Ah, I remember seeing one from a link you posted but didn't realise
    they were all there.
I'm thinking not! If I ever decide to take the Fantic over on the
    trailer though...

Actually I'm quite getting into the idea of taking both the MV & Fantic
on a trailer for a couple of weeks. I could badger Dave into some trail
riding, disappear into the mountains on the MV for a couple of nights
with just a rucksack, do a bit of the tourist thang in the car without
having to lug bike kit around, & the money I save in fuel getting there
& back on LPG will go someway towards offsetting the extra ferry/toll
    costs.

Good plan. If it's while we are in residence you could call in. AFAIK
the autoroute don't seem to charge for a bike trailer. It's still
treated as just Class 1. I never seem to have to pay a higher toll when
    towing mine anyway.

The ferries can be very pricey for trailers. My eurotunnel frequent
traveller deal isn't too bad, a trailer costs an extra £39 each way.

It's a pity the new Mayor and the President of the Moto Club Peyratoise
are discouraging riding of the local trails these days, though TBF it
was a bit OTT on Sunday mornings when we first moved in a couple of
    years after the last GLC.

    Cool, didn't know that.
    Eurotunnel's a no-go - LPG cars are banned. I'd do a Pool/Portsmouth
    crossing.

LPG tanks should never fill more than 80% full anyway.

    Mainly stupidity I think.

But the gauges are meant to be calibrated to read "full" at 80%...

That's what's so daft about it. Bottles are far more likely to have
been messed around with by owners fitting adaptors to fill them at
autogas stations, or link bottles together. Plus it's impossible to
fill an autogas tank more than around 80% as they contain a pressure
valve that cuts the pump off at that point.

    http://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/site-information/lpg/

"If your vehicle is fitted with a “fixed†gas container the quantity
of gas is limited to 47kg (or approximately 93 litres) for a single
container and the maximum filling rate is 80% (or approximately 73
litres). In the case of several fixed containers the quantity of gas is
limited to 50kg (or approximately 99 litres) on the whole with a maximum
filling rate of 80% per container (or approximately 79 litres)."

Krusty has the right of it then.
