that's where I live yes but am 35 miles further south at the mo.
windows open all night, slightly wet underfoot this morning but it
didn't wake me so i'd say no more than a light shower.

    Milton Keynes[1] This morning :
3-30am until about 5-00am : Thunder. Lightning and Heavy Rain
6-00am until now : Warm. Light Cloud. Sunny.

[1] well, Castlethorpe until 7am then Central MK until 4-30pm

Have another look at the link to the forcast for R&B.
Then look at the "hour by hour" forecast.
Its actually reasonably good for almost the entire weekend..

    Anyway.
Who gives a **** if the forecast is wrong.
If it is, it means the weather for the weekend will be good.
And that can't be bad can it? :)

    wasn't raining at 5am here.
    yep. already seen that.
the worst years were one of my first where the thunderstorm on the
saturday night cleared the field and the one where it was torrential
for several days before and the entrance to the field was knee deep
    in water.

last years bog was pretty bad too but nothing compared to those above

The 1st one I went to was amazingly muddy and it was *just* after I'd
started riding again after breaking my heel, to the extent that I was still
riding with 2 crutches strapped to the bike because I couldn't walk.

I spent the weekend in fear of the bike going over to the left and not being
able to catch it, so Eddie did most of the nasty riding up and down hills
    for me.
