    Why not use drain rods?

It's sort of drizzling off and on. I was vaguely considering taking the
outfit off round the lanes for half an hour or so, but I've had a decent pub
lunch and there are new strings waiting to go on a couple of the guitars.

The Lulsgate skidpan is immensely cheering. Filton should be Bristol's
third airport, and all the nimbys who blocked it should be buttfucked with
branches. As, indeed, should the useless tossers responsible for Concorde
spending another winter sitting out in the weather. Fucking disgraceful,
that. It's not like every square inch of every hangar is full.

They'd be too straight. It's all a bit twisted and convoluted in there.

We landed at a very wet Brizzle on Tuesday evening, on Easyjet, &
survived. I can't believe how lucky we were with flights. A couple of
days before we left, everything was shutdown due to fog. A couple of
days after we got back, everything was shutdown due to slippy runways.
Should've bought a lottery ticket last week methinks.

  7. Too many manhole covers.

Actually, if it's a road contractor they might have used some tarmac
compound that's just not suitable for runways.

If his point was that he was wrong about Alastair (whoever he is) then I
don't see any reason why he should have raised TOG in this post; raising
    TOG was hardly graceful.

Do you *really* need the background? OK:

Alastair came here asking for clocks for an MTX80 and when he didn't like
the replies he got mildly rebuked.

Then on the ns board I asked if he was the same Alastair (it could have been
coincidence) and he replied that he was and all of ukrm were tossers,
especially the ones who replied to him on here.

So I replied on the ns board that, actually, most here were not tossers
that, for example at least one of the people who had replied to him was a
jolly nice chap and, as a throw away line at the end, added (as he had
called all of ukrm it) TOG (another respondee) *was* as he had described.

This was distributed to TOG who then posted on here in what I can only
assume was some attempt to try and belittle me on a quiet posting day.

And then it snowballed. But TOG did say he was proud to be an "arrogant
tosser" and so I let the title stay with him as he says he's proud to be
called it. If he'd said "No I'm not, I'm just opinionated" or similar, I
may not have added the bit at the end of the first post in this thread but
he didn't and it's done now.

Just out of interest, how could I have been more balanced? Should I have
said "I was wrong about TOG, even though he agrees with the title"? That
    would be absurd.

It was no longer an opinion at the time of writing, it was an accepted
statement and as clear, and as balanced, as "WavyDavy lives in France", for
    example.

    **** off.

    I'm not arrogant.

I'm just right more often than everyone else.

And anyone who says different is a know-nothing arsehole.

Well, you could have risen above it and not bothered to post anything
about who was 'right' and who was 'wrong'.

    Why does it matter?

  18. And the only reply I gave to his question "Has anyone got..." was a
"No". hardly an insult, is it?
*NO I FUCKING DIDN'T* I just admitted to being arrogant. I never, ever
said I was proud to be.

Now *why* are you so insistent on lying, and continuing to lie? Go back
and look at the previous thread.

Go and look at the thread. Oh, **** it, let me do it for you.

Me: "Hardly. I've had every epithet you've named, and more, thrown at me
over the decades. It's all true: I am an arrogant tosser. I shall go to
    my grave like that."

Do you see the word proud there at all? Anywhere? Do you, punk?

No. Because it was used in this other posting:

    STARTS
    "WavyDavy is a liar."?

Well done, now you really have got me irritated, because you're a lying
sack of shit who is cutting and pasting posts together to give yourself
    what you think is ammunition.

This really is where you ought to apologise.
