Isn't it easier to spell "****" than asertive?

I'm afraid not - that has already happened, hasn't it? It was just clear I
wasn't getting through to him, so I left a message and deleted my posts as
    they were no longer relevant.
    I don't regret posting what I did, I just think maybe I shouldn't have
tried to help him so removed anything which he might have realised could
    actually help in future.

I'm sure Ian, the guy who runs the site, has it all archived anyway.

The only apology necessary from me has been made to the appropriate person
in the first post of this thread.

Having had a (very) brief look I'm just slightly surprised at the shite
some people seem to have time for.

    True enough.

Is the person who is supposed to have contacted TOG ref the original
posts to the thread a lurker on here because they seem to have been
particularly quiet about it all? I don't really think TOG does a
weekly search of the internet for his name so he must have had a
    pointer from someone.

It's a bastard when you have to tell a spell checker it's wrong.

Strangely, whilst the notion of being arrogant seems to appeal to quite a
few, everyone seems to be ignoring the "tosser" aspect. Can one be arrogant
    without being a tosser?

They are, apparently, members of the same RL bike club and, apparently, sent
a link to my description of TOG to all the members of their club..... He
did appear here one or two times as "Channel Hopper" but only after TOG
    posted here.

  9. Not when you know you're superior to everyone else, no.

  11. While I have no objection to your original posting on your stinkwheel
forum, I *do* object to people lying.

I never said I was proud to be a tosser. I merely agreed that I'm
arrogant. So no, it doesn't make you right. It makes you, I'm afraid, a
    liar.

Now, that issue was dead and buried with the last thread, and I'd
forgotten all about it. Contrary to what you think, I really don't mind
being called a tosser in a forum I don't read. However, you've decided
(for reasons unfathomable) to re-open hostilities here, after a period
of calm, and I do find that slightly annoying and more than slightly
    pathetic.

However, I won't insult you here (calling you a liar is a statement of
fact, unless you're prepared to admit you simply made a mistake): I'll
just let people draw their own conclusions as to your motives and state
of mind, as they seem to be doing.

No, no, don't. It's moderately diverting on a wet Sunday afternoon.

Are you going to jam your head against one of those shoe shine
    machines they have in hotels?

That's an idea. I was sort of looking at a pull-through from ear to ear.

  19. That reminded me of the Bol d'Or Run in 1999, and Niall Rowan mopping
his bald head with the hotel shoe-shine kit....

  20. That's shaping up to be a nasty lawsuit, methinks. Did they get some
bunch of Paddies in to resurface the runway or what?
