Well at the 325 quid I bought the LPG converted VOLVO estate for off ebay, I
ain't too bothered. And I just got a secondhand kit inc tank for the TVR for
    110 quid too.

The VOLVO will cruise happily at 100mph with no noticable drop in mpg
compared to round town use. Cruising at 75mph improves it by about 3 mpg.

Hmm, this has also been my experience with all lpg stations other than the
one 100 yards from my house which is a Morrisons station, and serves LPG
at 29.9p a litre. They give you 1.5p per litre back on a loyalty card too.

Eh? Wot? Haven't the foggiest, old chap.

As I've told you before, I know three-quarters of **** all about
    aircraft.

I know lots of stuff about what's in a Nimrod, but I'm not allowed to
    tell you about it.

    Except the galley, obviously.

Stratified-charge engines are very "air-thirsty", so if you want to get any
altitude, you need ****-off big turbos to pump air in, which adds to the
weight and tends to defeat the object. Lycoming and NASA worked on the
SCORE (SC rotary engine) in the 80s, and this was the big problem:
increasing weight, and it still lost power at altitude.

  7. Thanks. I was sure someone had had a crack at it - this must have been
    what I was thinking about.
