    It's not a "pull" thing it's a vibe thing.
I could happily pull another two gears but Jap factories gear their "sports"
bikes so they can redline in top.
I'm doing about 2100 to 2500 rpm at 50-60. The engine is making plenty of
power, not snapping hunting or lurching but it's a bit rough, and
infinitessimal movements of the throttle or changes in the topography cause
me to speed up or slow down instantly.

Changing down may make the engine vibe less but would make the throttle
responsiveness more acute and make it harder to hold a speed.
It's much easier to sit on a higher speed where the friction and
wind-resistance give to something to push against and where minor throttle
changes only make minor speed changes.

Or I can just keep riding as I'm riding and occasionally point out to people
who don't have much UJM experience that's it's a little more difficult on
    them.

And????? That was the whole idea!!!!!
I would have done the same thing!
Well, gee whizz....thankyou very much! What reason do
you think you might have had for swearing or shouting?
    Grow up.
What a silly question. The reason was plainly obvious.
If you'd have suggested it to me, I would have made a
suggestion right back at you. One you might not have liked.
What the hell would you know about road safety?
    Grow up....
Yeh, I would have liked to have seen that.
From what?? Run away and make your complaint and stop
interfering with things you have no idea about.
    Feeling pleased with yourself?
I hope you are told well and truly where you can get off and
to mind your own damned business.
    Bully for you.....

Now, for those that don't know Taren Point Road, it is a road
that is used predominantly by boy racers during the early hours of the
morning for drag racing, dangerous driving and anti-social behaviour.
It is a long straight stretch of road with several intersections controlled
    by
traffic control lights. The boy racers can't help themselves and engage in
drag races from these lights or from further south on Captain cook bridge,
onto Taren Point Road. these little shit heads need to be caught and dealt
with before they kill some poor innocent person who happens to be legally
going through one of the afore mentioned intersections.
By placing the Police car as covertly as possible, they might just catch
    these
little arseholes and deal with them. Obviously if the Police Car was
    clearly
visible, the little shits obviously wouldn't engage in their night time
    frollics
and would just go somewhere else, or come back another time when there
is no Police presence. Stuff them. Catch them in the act and lock them up,
or take their cars of them.

It's called looking after a few at the expense of many... something which all
politicians suffer from. Difference was Kennett wasn't ashamed to admit it...
which isn't necessarily the mark of a good leader... or a good politician.

No, a suggestiuon. Hand your licence in. If you have to focus
intently on the speedo to stay within a tolerable speed, then you have
no business sharing our roads with us.

I agree with you. As a HWP Cop, I would never, ever enforce
    a tolerance like this.

I seen a couple of young guys get pulled over today by an unmarked
commodore. Cop looked funny booking them in a t shirt and shorts with
    his side arm on....
