The problem that you appear not to acknowledge is that with the rest of the
offences that you mention do not involve the majority of the
    population-speeding does!

You seem to be one of those sorts of people who "chust obey ze orders".

It took you a month to answer the question though didn't it?

So it would be in YOUR best interest to participate wouldn't it?

I couldn't do that. I could hold 3800 rpm in top at 115 though.

Agreed 5K in first would be a pain. At 60 km/h in top you would be
doing 2600 rpm and at 70, 3000 rpm. At 60 in top I'm doing 2000 and at
70, 2300. In fourth, at 60, I'm running 2250rpm. The bike is quite
happy at that. Note that the revs at 60 in fourth are less than at 70
in top. I suspect your gearbox ratios are not that much different to
mine and you would be doing about 2800-2900 in fourth at 60. I find it
difficult to believe that the vibration and throttle response (ease of
riding) are much different. If it is not super-sensitive at 3000 in
top at 70, I find it difficult to believe it will be at 2900 in fourth
    at 60.

But then, that may be why I don't have a UJM.

Well top certainly looks a bit different (yours is 30% taller)!

Even though I've already told you that it's super-sensitive at 2500 (top) at
    60?
Oh well; your choice. No point arguing.

Toby, I think I said that the Police were doing their job. I don't
believe I mentioned whether the laws they were enforcing were good,
bad, or who the hell cares. I also don't believe that the Police have
the power or the right to question the laws they enforce.

Should you decide the law is stupid and you will react to it by
ignoring it, there is little or no point in blaming or abusing the
Police officer who gives you a ticket for doing 280 km/h in a 100
    zone.

I think your engine may rev slightly higher than mine.
OK. So you really have a bike that just can't do 60 km/h.

Paul Akbar (Akhbar?) is worth googling for.
He was a muslim fundamentalist (also rumoured to be a Hayabusa rider) who
challenged one of the crossposted "all muslims are evil" threads.

    Statistics have proved it works.

I mean, if RBT dropped the road toll, then why not RST , random speed
testing ? (Or NRST, if you wish to complain that fixed camera's arent
    exactly random.)

Its you who has to make a convincing argument against the obvious fact that
    speed kills.

They also hide for another reason.

The wish to avoid being targetted by some sort of 'accident'. like a beer
can accidentally dropped out a window - when there is more than one car
on the road, he hasnt got anyone to pull over.

Also there is the windscreen washer nozzle aimed off the side, the 'rev the
engine to hurt his ears' trick, the 'lets all slow down and stare at the
    copper' campaign,

And the big rig has the 'well there was a car on my right hand side that
wandered into my lane, so I had to move onto the shoulder and then the
trailer just wandered over and bumped you' thing, as seen on TV.

he feels far safer hiding .

And of course hiding means that you cant speed where you cant see a police
    car.
    you might just get caught.

Today I saw a white car on the side of the freeway, but it was on the median
strip side of the road. I thought ' is that a cop car ? why is it at the end
of the straight and so is visible from so far away ? '. so I check my speed
but as I pass, there's the cop car , hiding in the bushes, and some young
bloke is running from the cop car back to the white car... (Maybe the cops
waved him down because he had a P plate or just looked too young ...)

    What ???

    60km/h for 2 days ? its lucky to be 2 minutes !

    turn a corner and its 50, turn its 40... then 60, 50,40,60, 70, 50, 40,
    70,80,60,40,50,40,
even on "cumberland highway" " pacific highway" ,etc

Rubbish, I can stay on or just below it now, why shouldn't I if it drops
to 3km. You really have no common-sense.
