[shrugs] Nah; that's the way I intended them.

    pics)

...and a good time was had by all who attended. A couple of people even
went to the trouble of arriving on bikes. A big thanks to BTH and Minx
for all the trouble they obviously went to to get everything ready and
for the food and for giving us an excuse to go somewhere and get pissed
    :)

  10. Hmmmm makes my less than 2 hour ride with crosswinds sound easy ;-)
Especially when you consider that by the time you were at Cooma asking
about road conditions, I was parking the bike and being greeted with a
smile and a cup of hot chocolate. And by the time you were in
Adaminaby I was getting a shoulder and back masage after a hot shower
    ............

Though, I guess the tables will be turned come the GP ;-)

  11. I was gunna snip some of that but it's too nice a ride Moike!

I woke up when some bastard pulled my tent down, blaming it on the wind, at
some ungodly hour before lunch. We left BT's in a wet, windy and cold 9
degrees and then had to stop for a bushfire just south of Pheasants Nest.
Trust you Mexicans to bring the bloody weather with you!

Stop yer bitchin! I just got home and unpacked, after leaving at 9am.

After getting out of bed and commencing packing-up operations
(demounting the chimney & re-roofing the hole, moving the toilet &
filling in THAT hole, lowering & dismantling the windmill, unloading
the yellow water tank from Pisshead's new trailer, putting the gates
back on the truck, reloading the truck, packing the wheelbarrows,
cement mixers, etc. back in the shed...) at 6am.

I wasn't able to do any of that stuff on Sunday afternoon, due to the
    wind and driving rain.

I was almost overcome by the fumes left from the sump-oily water pump
that they kindly left on the passenger floor of the truck for me,
combined with the stench of burning paint from the hotter parts of the
    new motor.

At my first fuel-up in Goulburn I'd averaged 5.5km/l.

At Albury, 4.8km/l (must have been the 150km of headwind). I only had
7 litres left in the 80 litre tank.

At Coburg, 5.4km/l. Hopfully I'll do a bit better when the motor
loosens up a bit. It's certainly a fair bit more powerful than the old
one has been for the past year or so.

Hello to all from the "new" blow ins who came with Marty and Sascha.
Yes the wind between Tarago and Bungendore had me doing something I
    thought possible but rather unlikely.

The trailer caught the wind and pulled (all 500+ kgs of bike trailer
and humans) arse first out of a corner. Nothing too exciting there,
only a few inches off line and nice 'n stable really, but a power slide
out of a trailer? I have never, ever experienced anything like that
wind in 14 years of road riding. Highlight of the trip home was being
rained on by hundreds of fire yellow leaves just outside Bungendore.
One doesn't get memories like that sitting in front of the TV.

Yes I brought a camera. No I didn't use it. *sigh*

Thanks to _everybody_ for making two complete strangers welcome.

With kindest regards from Matthew and Emma.

Thanks for that Jase, some good shots there! ;-)

Thanks to all who attended, you made for a very pleasant evening.

    Well, *I* had a good time, and that's what's important! ;-)

You're more than welcome guys, it was a pleasure to see you there.

We were impressed at your dedication though, spending the whole night
working on a single bottle of Stones rather than making a trip to the
pub and missing something exciting! ;-)

Hi Matthew and Emma, good to meet you. Congratulations to Emma on your
first rally and surviving what was possibly your personal hell (frozen
over). Hopefully the Loaded Dog will go well.
