Mid November, BGN et al confirmed received opinion about 3
    and their methods.
I was contacted about their 'new' offer re free 12 month
contract (400 free mins, 250 free texts, free SE K608i pr LG
    U300).
Seems they have come to some arrangement with O2 and
Vodafone and are pushing their 'excellent' coverage.

What's the word from those who know?

Well, I'm on three - about halfway through the contract. My phone mostly
works but this is the second time that coverage in the office pretty much
sucks. Dunno why that is, but it was the same at my ex-employer.

I have 'five bar' Voda coverage where I am (My BT Fusion RAZR uses it)
and I'm sitting here with my old SE K608 and Motorola Fusion RAZR. The
RAZR (BT/Voda) on is showing fab coverage whereas the K608 (3) is on 1
    bar.

However, were Three to offer me a Nokia E61 + TomTom SatNav bundle for
Freebo then I might stay with them purely to flog.

I'm on it and I'm mostly happy. My only issue is that 3G coverage is
patchy downstairs in my house so calls can be dropped as it switches
from 3G to 2G and vice versa.

So, string them along a bit then.

They have assured me that the 'new software' in their phones will get
    me excellent coverage.

Also, it's nice to see a phone which has a decent resolution so that
    one can view proper websites.

Other positive things: 30Mb of data = £5, plus it runs on WiFi when at
    home.
