  3. Nice, I was looking at them after I had my XT350 stolen but didn't see a
tidy one about before I got the GS's. I'm not allowed to get a 4th bike
though so will have to wait a bit longer :(

  5. Heh. You know, the temptation was *so* strong.
After the Benly affair, don't even let him look at it.

Tell you what, that looks like a *bloody* good buy for just 700 quid.
It's really clean (you can even see the puddles from after he washed
    it!).

That blue panel on the headlight housing has to go, mind.

And just 25k (miles) on the clock. CIHAGM?

It is white. It doesn't look dirty...

....It doesn't look shit, either. One can't have an SOB that doesn't
    look shit?

Mind you, I'm new around these parts.

Exactly, the important criteria is that it looks used and is.

Of course you can, young Nicholas.

The CBX is a SOB. So is TOG's 400 Four.

    Tallbloke's Matchless is ShitOldBike.

In fact, it's a ShitOldBritBike, but the "Brit" tends to be taken as
    read in these cases.

But... but the CBX looks lovely. I don't understand. The FAQ lists
specific shitness requirements for a SOB.

    Of course you don't.

    <pats head>

You need to stick around and absorb some UKRMousness for a while. One
    day, all will be clear.

  14. In uk.rec.motorcycles, prawn amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
That looks like a nice bike. I wanted one of those when I passed my
    test.

So is my XT a[n] SOB or pseudo SOB. I'm a little uncertain, myself.
    It's on a C plate FWIW.

Aye. I had a mate who had an XT 500 when they were new. I did quite
fancy one at the time. Expect a mini review shortly[1].

    [1] Timo notwithstanding.
