    Stumbled across this, this morning.

Applications are invited for an EPSRC funded PhD studentship in the
School of Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering and
Management, rated 5 in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise. The
successful student will develop models and numerical procedures for
the simulation and parameter study in the behaviour of racing
motorcycles. The results will be aimed at an improved understanding of
the riding properties of motorcycles and at measures to avoid serious
instability, like wobble, weave and patter. An opportunity exists for
collaboration with a major manufacturer of racing motorcycles during
the work on the project. This PhD project is suitable for students
interested in automotive engineering, multi-body dynamics, structural
    vibration and computer modelling.
