Dunno, but surprised how many Jag owners are here? The V 12 is a great engine, but I surely couldn't afford to feed one at the moment!
It's actually cheaper than an XJ6 on the highway as it's barely idling along at a 100K and has the torque to pull the high gearing at that speed, the PreHE V12 on the other hand you can watch the fuel gauge go down if you put the boot in. I know it sounds weird from a 5.3litre V12, but it actually won several fuel economy challenges when it was released. It's cheaper to run Armidale to Sydney via Gloucester (ie almost no towns) than my 97 Audi A4 (2.6L v6) JL 86 Daimler Double Six VDP (my 5th Jag) 63 Jaguar Mk2 3.8 (10 Years into a 3 year restoration) Jag-lovers XK list admin
