I don't think you need the 'now' in there.

    Catman wibbled forthrightly:
You sure? You can fill something to the brim, but I've never used the
phrase, "I'm going to brim it" before or even heard someone else say
    this too.

Do the words 'English as a second language' mean anything to you? I
think you've been in France too long.

Ah, but being the second resident rent-a-spic, it's probably English
    as a 3rd language really...

I'm not entirely convinced. Got a URL for that?

"I'm going to brim the tank" just sounds wrong [1]. "I'm going to fill the
tank to the brim" is the way I'd say it. Maybe English is becoming my
second langauge. The worrying thing is, that I don't have a first language.

[1] I suppose if I replaced "brim" by the words "fill" or "empty" for example,
    then it's okay.

I think it's not exactly common useage. I would never say 'brim my
tank', but that doesn't preclude my awareness of the verb IYSWIM.

  19. Hmm, no. Their on-line dictionary is based on their Chambers 21st
Century Dictionary and doesn't have the fuller entry of their major work.
