Perth Mechanic help?

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Slartibartfast, Oct 12, 2003.

  1. Well I've put a deposit on a 94 CBR1000 from a dealer in Perth. But I
remember bugger all about checking motorcyle's. Does anybody know a
mechanic or some organisiation I can pay to mechanically check the bike for
meor should I just do it afterwards and get in done under warranty?

    Thanx in advance.

Does WA have statutory warranties for used motorcycles that are out of
factory warranty? If so, it must be about the only state that it does.

If you know anyone who is qualified to check it out, do it that way,
before you hand over the readies.

Only thing to look for is cam chain noise, although I believe that this
particular problem was fixed on the 1992 and later models.

Speaking from experience I can tell you that Honda fixed their cam chain
problems only when they used gear driven cams in the VFR :)
