Running is much easier than backing up your assertions
with some sort of facts or quotes, isn't it, Don? Doesn't
make you look very credible, though. That's okay, I knew
you were just parroting bu$h's silly war mongering lies.
We know Iraq did all it was asked by the U.N., and the
weapons inspectors were pleased with Iraq's cooperation.
They wanted to finish the job and opposed bu$h's rush
to death, destruction, mass murder, war crimes, and
terrorism. All sane, informed people did.

You deny proven facts, and make innacurate claims
that you're unable to support - like these:

    "He was defying UN resolutions."

Exactly which resolution was Iraq violating, and what did
Iraq need to do in order to be in compliance?

    "He was deceiving weapons inspectors."

According to Hans Blix, Iraq was cooperating well
    with his inspection team.

  3. He did in fact massacre thousands of civilians in 1988 and 1991.
Was that the urgent reason for an invasion in 2003 ? Did you have
anything more recent in mind ?

Also, re his deceit of the UN weapons inspectors, did he deceive
them by concealing WMDs or what ?

Just trying to understand these reasons you mention.

This is about the fourth time you've used this phrase, even though you
know it's not 100% correct. We've had this discussion before, and on
    3/16/04, you stated the following:

I never wrote that Iraq was in 'full compliance' with U.N.
resolution 1441, yet you claim I did.

I never said that Iraq was in 'full compliance' with U.N.

What aspect of that simple fact do you find confusing, Vic? ;->

As you did in March, you've taken one line of one paragraph, from a 15 page
document that hapens to support your point, while ignoreing the rest of the
document. Nice try, but just like last time, it's not going to work if
anyone cares enough to look at the whole report (as you obviously did back
in March) when you backed off your statement about 'full compliance'.

If intelligence failures are inevitable -- and in a world of human
fallibility, they are -- we are better off worrying too much about
our enemies and taking steps to defeat them than worrying too little
and being caught, unready, when they attack. Worrying too much led

Arrant nonsense. It ALLEGES that he wanted to use military force. It
ALLEGES that the FACTS and intel were being "fixed around" the policy.
Why do you thing that an allegation is PROOF of anything? Do you think at

As always Mark, good advice. Of course back in the days I used to
fish in the saltchuck, when we caught a bottom grubbing, mud sucking
scavenging nuisance fish, we would usually slit it from anus to mouth
with a sharp knife and then release it.

Nah, I'll let it go ;-)

  14. If this was a case of intelligence failure, I could go along
    with it, but it's not.

There was never one iota of interest in the idea of weapons
inspections in any way shape or form, nor was there ever any
description of an acceptable inspection process, nor was there
ever enough honesty to state that no inspection process was
    acceptable.

I believe the administration might have been willing to settle
for regime change, but never had the slightest interest in any
Iraqi disarmament, even though this was presented as all about
    WMDs.

I'm not a big fan of Saddam mind you, but this war was justified
by out and out lying and I don't much like that. If they'd stuck
to Afghanistan or made an honest case for Iraq, I'd feel differently.
    But they didn't.

According to Hans Blix, Iraq was in compliance with
U.N. demands at the time bu$h launched his illegal,
immoral, and globally condemned terror attack on the
People of Iraq. What violated terms are you referring
to and what did Iraq need to do in order to avoid bu$h's
attack? So far, not one war supporter has been able to
    answer this question.

"Iraq Largely Cooperating with Inspectors, UN Security Council Hears
Chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix said Iraq has largely cooperated
with arms experts, in a report to the UN Security Council that could
determine whether the world body backs military action against Baghdad."

In September and October 2003, McClellan said he had spoken
directly with Rove about the matter and that "he was not

    and "It's not true."

That's just more of your pro-terrorism ignorance, hate,
and lies. Tens of thousands of innocent Iraq civilians
have been murdered, and far more than that severely injured.
The bu$h regime's former friend and ally is unscathed.

That took place with the support of many of the current
members of the bu$h regime, so that can't be it. Musta been
the WMDs sold to him by Reagan/bu$h. The WMDs that were
found and destroyed by Scot Ritter and UNSCOM ten years
    before bu$h's terror attack.
Albert doesn't understand them, himself. He's just mindlessly
parroting bu$h's pro-terroism lies. He can't tell us which
U.N. resolution Iraq was violating, either, just that he
"thinks" Iraq was in violation of something... <chuckle>
