darsy fascinated us all by saying...
Going up the M1 one evening I saw a BMW 3 series with "FEM1 80Y" on it.
To say the driver looked a bit 'camp' would be an understatement.

Mine have a suffix T (1979/1980?) on a 5 yr old car, are 5 digits
comprising of my initials, 1 digit and the letter T

Because they are suffix and not prefix they had to go through an
auction rather than just a straight forward select reg purchase.

  8. When my cousin got married, her proud new hubby gave her a gift during
    the speeches:

A number plate. 1 number away from his, and personalised according to
    he last three initials.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

For about 5 years consecutively my uncle bought my aunt a personal reg
every year for her birthday. The first two letters were her initials
and the two digits were her age on that birthday.

My bike has a reg which is one number away from my mates old bike.
They were bought from the same dealer on the same day within the same
hour. Both Ducatis' but different models.

There was a Frontera round the corner from me when I lived in Manchester
    with H 70NKA.

And a Lexus in Swansea with FAT 130Y. Quite like this one.

Best one in Swansea, though, had to be the Foxeye Blade with CBR 900R.

Yup. You just need to either take it into your local licencing office
and queue for 4 hours and make sure you have all the relevant bits
needed (insurance, log book and MOT) and they do it there and then or
you can do it by post.
And for everyone who thinks they`re sad I dont care - so there!!
