Perseids

In case you missed the shooting stars last night,
there seems to be a repeat performance tonight.
At least I was just outside for a moment and saw
a rather bright one.

 

**** off. It's pissing down with feckin' rain yet again here. Bloody
North, feckin weather, thought it was going to be nicer here too....
mutter..... mumble.......

 

Not down here, but I think it was a straggler that
couldn't keep up with its mates.
There don't seem to be any more.

 

I can remember the last time they said to go and stand around outside
for a few hours, I *think* I might have seen one after an hour.

 

AONTL. Too fsking cloudy and wet. The light polution doesn't help...

I saw seven between 11.45 and 12.15 (watching in Esssex). One was quite
spectacular - like a rocket in a firework display. Another went across the
entire sky, lasting about 2 seconds, the longset I have ever seen.

 

One of the girls in the office had a phone call warning her that her
house might get flooded (Chester-le-Street).

It is certainly wet up here, and you should see the colour of the water
in the Wear going through Durham!

 

We had the Persistent hailstones showers.

 

LOL.

 

I expect the population to form street gangs soon, with those who missed the
display becoming the leaders.

 

heh. Nice.

 

The ones who saw the display will go blind.
The ones who missed it will form gardening clubs
to keep the weeds down....

 

Piss off - I've read Day of the Triffids.

Yeah who'll be laughing on the other side of their face when I'm off, in
a Land Rover, to the Isle of Wight to breed and all you've got is a can
of Nescafe and a fear of shrubs.
