Pedrosa signs

Pedrosa has signed with Repsol Honda for 2006 in MotoGP

So which of the current riders has a contract already for 2006?

And how much will they have to pay Movistar for losing their boy?

 

I like this line:

"When I tested Honda's MotoGP bike at Valencia I could tell that it
was a bit big for me and my body isn't quite ready for a bike like
that so I will have to train very hard. I am not scared of anybody in
MotoGP, just a little worried about my size."

It amazes me that he's going to be able to handle this bike.

He's 5'2" and 103 lbs according to the MotoGP website. 103 lbs! This,
while riding a 250 hp bike. He's 20, so I wouldn't expect him to get
that much bigger. If he gets along, I'll have a hard time not being
impressed. GP racing really seems to be headed the way of horse
racing.

Oh well, Melandri isn't all that big himself and he's doing just fine.

 

He would not be the first small guy. Roberts Sr was even shorter stats in
hand. Having been ove 6ft and around 200lbs ince my teens, I always felt it
a disadvantage on a bike...

Pedrosa will do well - but I can not picture him as a Rossi challenger...
