Parts auction

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Carolina Watercraft Works, Oct 31, 2005.

  1. I've got a ton of Kawasaki inventory up on Ebay. Just like
walking into the parts room of a Kawasaki dealer. If anyone
knows of anyone that can use this stuff, I'll offer up a finders fee.
Just let me know who you tell and have them tell me you told them
    about it.

  2. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Carolina Watercraft Works amazed us all with this
    pearl of wisdom:
Two negs and a neutral in 15 transactions.

    No thanks.

    Not only but also:

    "Usenet Policy

eBay users may not post on Usenet groups (Internet newsgroups) to
advertise eBay or an eBay listing that is inappropriate or violates
the Usenet board policy. If Usenet abuse is reported to eBay, we may
among other remedies remove the listing, issue a warning, or suspend
    the user's eBay account."

  5. Actually....I've had emergencies with my dad and health issues
that required me to go out of town (1/2 way across the country) but I
took care of the auctions when I returned except for one in which the
seller didn't want to complete the auction....thought they could resell it
for more second time around...but didn't. I understand your point, but
even the last transaction, although I've paid for the item and it has yet to
arrive, the mark has not been removed. Oh well, just offered up some
    parts for any interested.

  6. That refers to...lets say...posting in a quilting newsgroup or one
that has nothing to do with the item being auctioned. Touchy
people across the pond seems like.

  7. Nope, they closed up and I took over all of the inventory. If you'd like,
you can contact Kawasaki and verify.

No, Laszlo, you top-posting idiot. It refers to a listing that is
inappropriate or *violates the usenet board policy*

Did you check the uk.r.m. Charter, Laszlo? No, you didn't - don't
lie. The Charter expressly forbids posts of a commercial nature,
Laszlo. We'll let eBay decide, though, eh?

Notwithstanding the foregoing, if anyone in the UK seriously wants to
attempt to deal with a seller with a record like Laszlo's then they
need their head read - apart from the shipping costs, it appears that
the chances of getting the goods are less than good.

  11. Unless I miss something, which is likely it doesn't seem possible to
report abuse without actually logging into fleabay.

You're right. I assume that is designed to cut down on spurious
    complaints, each one being traceable.

  13. Also, being twats they won't act on a complaint unless the perp uses
an email address that's registered with fleabay to the account being
    spam advertised.
