There is some plumbing on my Bandit I'd like to go away. It got in my way
when I did the 1st valve adjustment, so I looked in my service manual to get
the scoop. It tells how to check if things are working OK and what to
    replace etc., but that's it.

Apparently it's "Pulsed secondary air-injection system" and it's supposed to
draw air into the exhaust when the pressure there goes negative to help
    emissions.

OK, but there's plumbing going to the front of the cyl's (not the head) I
    don't understand.

I haven't seen this thing mention at any Bandit performance enhancing site
    I've bumped into...

Is it wise to remove all this stuff and blank off the holes? What would a
performance tuning folk do with/to it?

    Thanks.

It has very little effect one way or another on performance.
All it does is add fresh air to help fully oxidize the exhaust gases,
and get rid of unburned hydrocarbons (gasoline).
I sympathize with the urge to remove it. I had a car once
with the same system, and it made it IMPOSSIBLE to change the plugs.
The piping and manifolds ended in the trash can. On the bike, it gets
in the way of valve adjustment.
You can do this easily with the Bandit. Some aftermarket mfrs
supply blanking plates for the flanges where the pipes enter the
engine (Looks like into the cylinder, actually into the exhaust port).
Try www.holeshot.com. The fresh air supply port on the air cleaner
    box must also be capped.
Be aware that the bike will probably no longer pass an
emission test with the PAIR removed. That's more an issue depending
on the state in which you live.
