I have a white Givi top box which I want to be matt black. Is it
possible to paint it or is it a specialized job? Can someone point me
in the direction of such a specialist please?

Frank Smith emerged from their own little world to say
You should be able to do it with the right materials. My former employer,
Xerox, uses a spray on, water based paint for refurbishing plastic panels
in their "remanufacturing" [1] programme. I've no idea where you can get
any colour other than grey though!

[1] originally called refurbishing but the marketeers decided
"remanufacturing" was more likely to dissemble the fact that they were
    flogging secondhand machines.

Masking tape and plastic-etch paint (or primer). I got some mixed and
put into an aerosol for the bumpers/wing mirrors on the cage. I think
    it was about £17 from....

.... nah, it's gone. I got it from a large body repair shop in
Nottingham. Just make sure you get some mixed with a plasticiser in it
as it won't give and will just flake off.

You'll need a plastic primer - a primer specifically designed for
plastics. These are normally used for painting plastic car bumpers and
are available from most car spares shops (like the one I'll be working
in on Sunday). Then you can use any proprietorial spray paint as a top
    coat.
