Anyone else had a problem with paint lifting and bubbling around the filler
    cap on your
gas tank? Mine started recently, just behind the filler hole. I think that
vent plug leaks and lets gas sit in the filler reccess...and after a while
it gets under the paint. Kawa stealer says my GT warranty don't cover it.
    Any ideas
on how to stop the problem, and fix it with out getting a whole new paint
job? The area affected is about 2 inches long, 1/2 inch wide, and the bubble
is about 1/4 inch high now. Right around the ring of the filler hole...
    Thanks,
    Jack

Fixing it isn't that big a deal, unless you won't remove the tank and empty
it. Then it gets tricky. :) Get the paint code from the dealer, and any
competent paint shop should be able to patch it for you. Just don't crap
your pants when you find out how much a pint of paint costs. And don't try
to save a buck by buying cheap thinners.
