What do you think of this years XJR1300?
Not seen it up close, but.... The exhaust looks pants, I reckon most will be ditched for something decent. This bike *has* to have a 4/2. Not sure about the colour, bring back black motors Fuel Injection.... hmmmm, may take the rough edge out of it, not a good move, but I understand the exhaust and FI is for emmissions. Now, translate this into "brit" for me Maximum power 71.9 kW (98 PS) @ 8,000 rpm Maximum torque 108.4 Nm (11.1 kg-m) @ 6,000 rpm
96.4 hp, best I can find. 79.89 lbf I think. Overall, very similar to a Bandit 1200, which I'm sure previously the XJR outdid by a small but comfortable margin. And that exhaust is fucking minging.

You know I've just twigged, this must be why Kawasaki dropped the ZRX despite it still selling ok, must be Euro III emmisions complaince that's killed it.. in the same way the 7R got killed off over emissions years ago.
As it wqas water cooled etc, I doubt that would have been it. Unless they would have had to drop the power back down again to get it through. A *lot* of good bikes are falling to the new rules
It had carbs, which was probably enough.. Bear in mind that both Suzuki and Kawasaki have had to put catalytic converters in the bellypan of their latest litre sports bikes to get them through the current emmisions regs, and the previous models were about as leading edge as you could get, but wouldn't comply.
