    Well I've said now, haven't I?

If I'd known you were working here, I'd have said something sooner.

Excellent. But perhaps I should get fit enough to return to normal
    climbing first...
Much like the Xscape at MK, I guess.

Yep. Went with visiting relatives including a 3 and 6 year old.
The demonstrations are meant to be quite good. We only saw a 'Sword
craft' demo based around sections of Romeo and Juliet. We tried to
watch the bird of prey demo in the outdoor section but it started
    hailing.

The Oriental section is interesting (and my personal favourite), but
    not massive.

In general I thought it could do with the magic touch of the Science
museum people. It's a bit bland, but if you're willing to read small
detailed plaques then you can easily kill a few hours. Predictably
the children who came with us when we went got a little bored.

Given that it's free you can't complain really.

Ooh ahrr. But when I did the Tetley's brewery tour in
nineteen-hundred-and-frozen-to-death they had Tetley Dark Mild on. And
    very nice it were too.

'kin 'ell. So, I was *not* the only one to be drinking that in an
    effort to save it.

    Yes, you were.

I was drinking it because it tasted nice.

Have they stopped doing it then?

It was on its last legs in the '70's as it was seen as an old man's
drink. Can't remember the last time I saw *any* dark mild on offer.

Hmm... My brewery tour would have been in about 1993.
Yesterday in my case. Kimberley Mild. Fucking lovely.

    No need, no need.

My local sells Kimberly Mild - just the other side of the M1 from you
    - 5 minutes beyond J12. Have a look in a few Charles Wells pubs -
lots of them should carry Mild.

Charles Wells? The well known beer-diluters? Thanks for the info,
but I don't think I will go out of my way to drink in one of their
    pubs.

There speaks a man who's never tasted a well-kept pint of Bombardier.

That must be true then, though the sample size is small.

I'm pretty sure most Harveys (of Lewes, Sussex) pubs have mild.
