and whoever else it was who recommended the Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam -
    fucking good call.

We had the room on the top floor, second from the right in this pic -
absolutely bloody lovely, and a totally amazing view over the Monument
    and Dam Square.

Glad you enjoyed it. I actually broke a personal rule in recommending a
hotel. I made the rule after I recommended a hotel in Edinburgh to a
friend. It was a cracking little family run place that I used to use a
lot. I saw him a few weeks later:

    "How was it?"

"Not too bad. Apart from the cockroaches in the bathroom..."

only a couple of nights. But at 245 euros/night room-only for the
    executive-class room, I couldn't afford much longer.
The Reichsmuseum was good, but Van Gogh was bollocks.

I'm glad you did - everything about the experience of staying there was
    exactly what I was after.

  12. Gotta be better than the shite that Picasso turned out. Málaga is a
shrine to the talentless twat. Most of the local grafiti outshines
    Picasso's best.

  14. ´kinell. When I've stayed in Amsterdam, it's cost about 4 quid a night.
Not Queen's day, granted. Given they party all night, why would you want
    a room?

sort of. In a cabinet were you can't really see them. I was bored
fuckless by that stage in any case.
The Amstelkrieg Museum was also interesting, in a "preserved old house"
manner rather than "lots of paintings", especially the "hidden" RC
    church in the attic.

no, no, exactly - I meant the Van Gogh Museum was a bitter
    disappointment after the Reichsmuseum.

inclusive of local taxes, that's roughly what I paid last weekend.

    It's definitely worth it, though.
